What is Asatru: Part II

The Gods represent different sides in us: The Aesir and the Aesynjes (Godesses - ED), the Vanes and theh Dises (Not sure about translation - ED) sides of our conciousness; Jotuns and Dwarfs sides our unconciousness. Helheim and Utgard is our unconciousness, while Aasgard and Midgard is our conciousness. When Balder - who is a metaphore for the meaning of life - is murdered, he ends up in Helheim. This simply means that we have "fogotten" the meaning of life, that it is repressed by a judeo-christian psychosis.

Trolls in fairytails do not tolerate sunlight. This is because when a thought (a Troll) from the unconciousness comes out into the light, to life, it is no longer an unconcious thought (a Troll).

While Loki is logic, Thor is faithfullness, Tyr the courage, Frigg love, Heimdall the conscience, Forseti the sense of justice, Nanna the nearness between us, Sif the family-sense (which si married to Thor, take notice of that! Faithfullness to the blood!), Frøy desire etc...

If we sacrefice (blot) to some of this we strenghten this in ourself. "blot" means "to strenghten"! Vi sacrefice (blot) to these forces by drinking to them, by eating for them, by living for them! If I drink for Thor I do this to strenghten my faithfullness, my loyalty. To strenghten it by reminding me of it. Bringing it deeper into the conciousness.

The Gods are symbols on different good things. The word "God" derives from "good" (at least "Gud" (Nor. for "God") derives from "God" (Nor. for "good) - ED), so there is little doubt about this. We have given these good things names, to easely remember them, to honour big women and men who one time lived and who actually were called Odinn and Thor, Frøyja and Frigg etc.

If we believe that we sacrefice (blot) to the Gods, we are right! The Gods exist; in our selves, in our race, in our pure blood! The Gods "hear" us by us hearing them, by us becomming more loyal by thinking of Thor, braver by thinkinh of Tyr etc.. If I ask Odinn for advice on an important matter I should trust the answer he gives me; because it is my blood which is answering, millenias of gathered knowledge and experience. The name "Odinn" is just a sort of key to my inner self, some sort of password which unlocks wisdom from different times. Some use coffee grounds as a key, or the horses walk, the stars or the lines in the hand, runes or the clouds formations. It is all keys to something we have in ourselves. Small mirrors of macrocosmos wherein all wisdom is hidden.

Adolf Hitler has become a God for us. A symbol for something good: National Socialism. If we sacrefice (blot) to him, our conciousness of the national socialistic thoughts and ideas be strenghtened. This too is Asatru: Forfatherworshipping! To drink to good thinks and people, so that these will not be forgotten! So that these remain in our conciousness.

Do we need religious leaders? Yes, but with reservation. We need to be reminded of our holy duties and tasks, but this task should be given to the oldest in every family more than anyone else. Religion should be a private thing, parts of it actually, when remembering all of the families good women and men will be an impossible task for the goverment. This must be left to each and every famiy. Remembering the Gods, the Gods who are our origin from old times, the mythological Gods, which are common for the whole folk and race, these must be celebrated and remembered publicly! The leader should have this task.

In fatherworship Gods will be replaced all the time as new children are born into the familiy. The good familymembers will be remembered by handing the deceaseds' name to the newly born. This way he - or she - will never be forgotten, and the child will from the start of have something to be proud of, something to grow on, something to have respect for and something to seek strenght in: Honour! A name!

The preasts plain way of life and the church's abuse of power got the bohemian churchreformator, Jan Hus (1369-1415), to rebel. The result was that he to ended up on the fire after he was charged wih heresy.

In 1184, Pope Lucius III. organized an inquisition ("investigation"). The purpose was to trace and exterminate the so called "heretics" - remote people who had the wrong faith and went against the chruch's teachings and power. In 1232, Pope Gregor IX. continued his legacy, he also made sure that the inquisition was put directly under the Popethrone.

One pointed to II. The book of Moses 22, where a deathpenalty for "magicwomen" was claimed, and in 1484, Pope Inocens VIII. began a huge "witch-hunt": All witches and magic-women should be traced and "saved" from the devil by letting them die at the cleansing fire. Normally the victims were lonely women, who maybe earnt something at the side by acting as "clever women", or who simply stood out of the crowd.

In 1486, a book on witch-hunting was released, authored by the German inquisitor, Johann Sprenger, and the Jew, Heinrich Kraemer. The book thaught the ways which were necesary to reveal and "take care of" witches. "The Water test" is a good and grotesque example: The trialed "witch" was back-bound and thrown into a sea or a river. If she manage to float she was definitively a witch and was burnt at the stake. If she sunk and drowned - wel, then she actually was innocent! Subtle, cruel and merciless torture was also normally used to make the "witches" confess...

It is estimated that as many as 10 million women was burnt at the stake around Europe during the time of witch-hunts - more than half of them were German women. But also in Mora in Sweden - as late as in 1669 - it is told about the "firedeath" for more than 80 women after some children claimed to have seen them flying to Blocksberg on brooms...!

One of the most cruel (witch-hunters) was the Jewish grandinquisitor, Tomas de Torquemada (1420-1498), which in Spain was responsible for thousands of peoples deaths during the years 1498 to his death in 1498.

Not only women were the victims, also - for the church - "troublesome" menn was labeled as wizards and heretics. Like the well known Italian philosof Giordano Bruno (1548-1600). He was burnt at the stake after having claimed the earth was round and not the centre of the world.

The Jews have also used the inquisition for attention and promoted them selves as victims by claiming that it was the Jews which had the worst time. That is not correct, and the truth is that many of the popes actually were Jews! Also among bishops, priests and inquisitors there were a striking number of Jews.

So Christianity has no reason to claim them selves morally superior to neither Pol Pot or Stalin. And regarding national socialism one can only claim that "our" ideology never has put as much suffering to the world as Christianitys' "humble" servants....

Also, today we can claim that "heretics" are victims of the state and the church - if they challenge modern myths, as f.eks. "Holocaust"...
