Do You believe in the Triumph of the Will? And if so; what is the Triumph of the Will? Many of You are familiar with Reifenstahl's propoganda film with this title, and many also know that Hitler called himself Herr Wolf in some contexts. If You are familiar with the Norse-Germanic myths You should also know that Fenriswolf's faith is to kill Wuotan during Ragnarök. Until then though, he is tied up and nailed to a small island with a sword. From his jaw two streams run; Vil and Van - Will and Hope!
Those of You with a well developed faculty of perception will see the connection here:
Ragnarök is not, like some believe, the Twilight of the Gods. It is the Origin of the Gods, the Beginning of the Gods, the Return of the Gods and the Twilight of the Gods. Wuotan is the Spirit of our World. Fur us to be able to build a New World we have to first destroy the old one. So; the Wolf kills Woutan during Ragnarök. Wuotan however is reborn just after Ragnarök; a new Spirit is born. Ragnarök is the Twilight of the Old World, but also the Beginning of a New World. "The Kind is dead; long live the King!". I say Wuotan is dead; long live Wuotan!
Wuotan is the spirit of our world and our people. His spirit is in our blood - whether we like it or not. Today this spirit is perverted though, confused and badly damaged. But it is still there. Wutoan is like an old and sick man, a shadow of his former self. Only death can make him young and healthy again. When he dies he will be rebornl he will be reborn full of life, strong and brave, eager to create and improve, eager to help his children reach Valhalla! Death is a cartharsis; You are cleansed and thrown back to life, free from perversion.
These rivers of Will and Hope run throughout the landscape of Burzum. This is the spirit of Burzum; new life through death, creation through destruction, light through darkness, peace through war, warmth through cold.
We are not happy with the world as it is today, right? Is it not the Will to create a New World, and the Hope that we might succeed in doing this that keeps us going? Would You live on if there were no hope for a change? I would not. No way!
This is really what Burzum is all about; the Triumph of the Will! A Spiritual revolution and the Return of the Gods. The building of a New World!
